All equipment, regardless of power source, must comply with federal, state and local codes. The KBHCCD and your chosen provider from our approved list, reserve the right to inspect equipment at the exhibitor’s expense. Electrical outlets must be ordered for each booth requiring power. Complementary electrical is available in the meeting rooms but you must not exceed the electrical capacity in each room.

Bottled water is placed inside the lectern, per the number of seats at the head table. Should your speakers’ water needs exceed what is provided, please consult your Event Manager. Water coolers are placed in the meeting room corridors and outside the A, B and D Ballrooms when ballrooms are used for meeting space. KBHCCD does not place water coolers in exhibit halls. Additional water service for attendees may be ordered through the KBHCCD food and beverage provider.
Health permits may be required if show exhibitors sample food or beverage, not provided by our exclusive food and beverage provider. KBHCCD will work with Show Management to secure those permit(s). Certain restrictions apply. For more information, contact your Event Manager.
In compliance with Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission (TABC) laws, no alcohol may be brought on to or removed from the KBHCCD property, except by our exclusive food and beverage provider, Centerplate.
All outside food and beverages are prohibited.

KBHCCD is committed to supporting and encouraging sustainable practices. As one of only a handful of U.S. LEED-EB and ISO 14001 certified convention centers in the nation, our dedication to resource conservation, sustainability, source reduction, and waste diversion is standard operating procedure. The KBHCCD prides itself in hosting environmentally-friendly meetings. Recycling is a big portion of being green and one of the easiest ways planners can get involved. It not only reduces costs for you, your attendees and exhibitors, but also reduces landfill space and energy used. After their event, planners may also consider donating unconsumed food and other consumer goods to our KBHCCD Good Neighbor Program, which diverts left over items from landfills to local non-profits. Some events may be required to have special event permits for pyrotechnics, lasers, open flame or other special effects. Additional standby fire personnel may be required during show hours at Lessee’s expense. See your Event Manager for these permit applications. If you have a particular question or concern, please contact the Security Supervisor at (214) 939-2872 or the Dallas Fire – Rescue Department at (214) 670-4319.
Lessee is responsible for hiring security personnel on a 24-hour basis from the initial move-in date/occupancy until completion of move-out. A list of preferred event security companies is available from your Event Manager. Event security at KBHCCD is provided by state-licensed, trained, insured and bonded professionals and includes: ushers, ticket takers, floor security agents, door security agents, roving personnel, overnight security, their supervisors and managers, and law enforcement agencies and first responders. All security personnel are required to enforce the policies of KBHCCD.
Lessee will submit a detailed security plan a minimum of 30 days prior to the first move-in day of the event. The plan must indicate the number of security supervisors and security personnel, dates, times and assigned locations. KBHCCD may request the Lessee make reasonable modifications to the plan.
A deposit of 25 percent (25%) of the minimum space rental amount is due at the time of contract execution with the balance and certificate of insurance (COI) due 60 days before the event/show move-in date.
Hours are based on show management and exhibitor hours. Generally, our KBHCCD administrative hours are Monday through Friday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Submit a floor plan a minimum of 30 days prior to the first move-in day of your event showing the location of the service to be installed.
All electrical services include 24-hour power. Please contact the approved utility service provider chosen by the event organizer for any additional information.

This process is managed by your General Service Contractor and must be approved by KBHCCD in advance. All rigging is subject to inspection by the KBHCCD, once installed. Rigging inspections fees apply. For additional policies and procedures, including weight limitations contact your Event Manager.
It is up to each event organizer and/or their general service contractor if they wish to provide a service desk on the show floor for their event. Please contact the event organizer to confirm this information.
Outside generators are prohibited at the KBHCCD.
Electrical must be ordered for each booth requiring power through the electrical provider selected by the event organizer. Up to 100 AMP service can be provided at any floor pocket in the exhibit halls. All electrical services must be completed by the approved utility service provider that the event organizer has selected to handle the event. If you would like to place an order for electrical, please refer to the exhibitor kit produced by the event organizer and/or its general service contractor.

The KBHCCD follows all applicable state and local laws regarding weapons in the facility.
• Simulated or costume weapons are allowed as a part of your costume, subject to prior approval by security, the local police and if in compliance with the following. Please note that police have final say on all cosplay weapons.
• All costume weapons must be inspected by uniformed police at the Costume Weapons Check Desk in the main lobby.
• All costume weapons must conform to all state and federal laws.
• Projectile costume weapons must be rendered inoperable.
• Costume swords must be tied to your costume in such a way that they can’t be drawn and must also pass police approval.
After each person’s costume weapon has been checked, it will be tagged by security, and you will be given a wristband to wear to designate that your weapons have been checked. Security will escort you to the security station for inspection if your costume weapon is not tagged. Please do not bring your costume weapons, if you are unwilling to comply with these policies. Event organizers and the Police department reserve all rights to change or modify any costume weapons policy or rule at any time and without notice to best safely serve event attendees. Your understanding and cooperation is appreciated.

Pets are not allowed at the KBHCCD; however, service animals are welcome. The KBHCCD follows ADA guidelines regarding service animals. All ADA service animal guidelines may be found here.
KBHCCD has partnered with Mamava to provide two self-contained pods that give nursing mothers a private place to nurse and/or pump. They are conveniently located on Level 2, one by the Arena and another by the Food Court.
KBHCCD is ADA compliant. It is our goal to implement new standards as they are introduced. In accordance with the ADA we are responsible for and provide permanent premises access accommodations such as, but not limited to: wheelchair lifts, elevator standards, door width standards and restroom accessibility.
It is the event organizer’s responsibility to provide non-permanent accessibility requirements, such as, but not limited to, hearing-assistive or visually-assistive devices, and temporary seating accessibility and/or interpreters. If you need non-permanent accessibility aid while at the KBHCCD please consult with the event registration desk.

Dallas Love Field Airport is 7.8 miles from the KBHCCD. Your link between DART Light Rail’s Orange and Green Lines and the Love Field Terminal is Bus Route 524 (Love Link) that operates between Dallas Love Field and the Inwood/Love Field Station.

Take Central Expressway (U.S. 75) southbound. Take exit to I-35/U.S. 77 to Field Street. Turn left under the freeway and veer to the right onto Griffin Street. The Convention Center is straight ahead. The parking garage entrance is at the corner of Memorial and Griffin, on the south side of the Convention Center.
On the Tollway
Go south on the Dallas North Tollway. Take the Harry Hines/Downtown exit to Field Street to Griffin Street. The Convention Center is straight ahead. The parking garage entrance is at the corner of Memorial and Griffin, on the south side of the Convention Center.
On Highway 183
Take Carpenter Freeway (I-183) east to Stemmons Freeway (I-35E) southbound. Take the I-45/U.S. 75 exit to the Griffin Street exit. The Convention Center is straight ahead. (Also works for those coming from Denton/Lewisville.) The parking garage entrance is at the corner of Memorial and Griffin, on the south side of the Convention Center.
On I-35 from the South
Take R.L. Thornton Freeway (I-35E) northbound. Take I-30 east to Griffin/Lamar exit. Stay in the left lane as you exit to continue on Griffin Street. The Convention Center is straight ahead. The parking garage entrance is at the corner of Memorial and Griffin, on the south side of the Convention Center.
On I-45
Take Julius Schepps (I-45) northbound. Take I-30 West to Downtown/Ervay Street exit to Griffin Street. The Convention Center is straight ahead. The parking garage entrance is at the corner of Memorial and Griffin, on the south side of the Convention Center.
On I-30
Take R.L. Thornton Freeway (I-30) westbound to Dallas. Take the Downtown/Ervay Street exit from the left lane of the freeway. As you exit, you will be on Griffin Street. The Convention Center is straight ahead. The parking garage entrance is at the corner of Memorial and Griffin, on the south side of the KBHCCD.
DART-Dallas Area Transit
